Sundresses!

One of my favorite things about summer is being able to wear fun  sundresses! If I could find enough modest sundresses, I would totally wear one every day of summer but unfortunately its sometimes hard to find a cute but modest sundress. Last Saturday I went shopping at WalMart and found a really cute sundress in a red/white multi print for $14! They had it in a navy/white multi as well but of course they didn't have the navy blue one in my size :( I tried on the dress in red and was so happy that it fit and was long enough for my height of 5'5. I opted for the Medium instead of the Small because it was just a little to tight at the top and I was afraid of shrinkage. This dress is so comfortable and pairing it with either a t-shirt or a cardigan makes for a nice easy summer outfit :)

Sundress: Walmart $14, Shoes:Goodwill $4 T-shirt: Kohls $6

Finally I found something to match my Vera Bradley bag.

Only con about this dress is that when its a tad windy, it poofs up like this lol

Modest Camisoles

Don't you hate it when you buy a cami so that you can have extra coverage but you have to constantly pull your cami up so as not to reveal anything? I hate that so much! About three months ago I found this website called sakurarose.com and they sell cute modest camis. Some even have cute lace at the bottom that are awesome to layer with tops and t-shirts! What's great is that they are fitted which keeps your cleavage from showing when you bend down and that is just awesome!!! They aren't too expensive either, around $12-15! So if you're looking for Camis that actually cover: Sakurarose.com is the place to go!

Making the Tank Modest

I've never really liked tanks until just a month ago when I went to Koh'ls and saw this adorable flowy tank top in a black floral print with small rosettes at the collar. It was love at first sight and I knew that I had to have it. The only problem was: it was a low cut, tank top with barely any coverage. I then thought maybe I could try it with a cami and a shrug. Sure enough when I tried it on in the fitting room, it was perfect in everyway. Its been my favorite summer top since the day I bought it because of its comfortable style and adorable charm. So what I have down here is a picture of another tank top that I just bought yesterday night at Kohls. Its basically the same as the one I was just talking about and the only difference with this one is that its just a solid color.

Tank: Kohl's ($18)
Shrug: Maurices ($20)
Modest Cami: Sakurarose.com ($12)
Purse: Eloise in Watercolor by Vera Bradley-a gift

I am now addicted to layering tank tops. Its a  cute, fun and easy way to stay fashionable and modest!

Welcome to my blog

Hello everyone!

I'm Hannah and welcome to my brand new blog: the Girl in Pink. All of my life I have stood out among the crowd because I am a Christian and I dress modestly. I have been ridiculed and often scorned but that didn't let me down because I knew that God would bless me if I chose to honor him in the way I dressed. This blog is to share my modest fashion inspirations, musings, and finds. I hope that this blog will help other girls who also want to continue wearing modest clothing yet being able to still be fashionable and fun! Stay tuned for my first fashion inspiration!
